This Privacy Policy explains what information ICHINGO (“we”, “us”), operated by ShenZhen YiLiYaSe International Co., collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using ICHINGO, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information: email address and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text) when you register; display name if you choose to set one.
- Trip preferences: if you use Trip Mode, the destination city and travel dates you enter, so the planner can personalize its guidance.
- Usage data: pages visited, guides opened, and general interaction data, collected to understand what’s useful and fix what isn’t.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device information, collected automatically for security (e.g. rate-limiting sign-up and login attempts) and diagnostics.
- Language preference: which of our nine supported languages you’ve selected.
We do not collect payment card details — ICHINGO does not process payments directly.
2. How We Use Information
- To create and secure your account, including email verification and login
- To personalize Trip Mode to your dates and destination
- To respond to support requests sent via support@ichingo.app
- To detect and prevent abuse, spam, and unauthorized access (e.g. rate-limiting registration and login)
- To improve our guides and tools based on aggregate usage patterns
3. Cookies & Local Storage
We use essential cookies/local storage to keep you logged in and remember your language preference. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.
4. Third-Party Services
Our guides link out to third-party apps and services (Alipay, WeChat Pay, DiDi, 12306, Amap, Trip.com, Airalo, and our own social channels including Telegram, Instagram, WhatsApp, WeChat, TikTok and YouTube). Once you leave ichingo.app, that provider’s own privacy policy applies — we don’t control, and aren’t responsible for, their data practices.
5. Data Storage & Security
Account data is stored on secured servers with industry-standard safeguards, including password hashing and rate-limited authentication endpoints. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
6. Data Retention
We retain account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required for legal, security, or legitimate business purposes (e.g. fraud prevention records).
7. Your Rights
You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time by emailing support@ichingo.app. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under local law (such as data portability or objection to processing) — contact us and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.
8. Children’s Privacy
ICHINGO is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can remove it.
9. International Users
ICHINGO is operated from China and used by travelers worldwide. By using the Service, you understand your information may be processed in China, which may have different data protection laws than your home country.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be reflected by an updated “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
