China National Immigration Administration Extends 30-Day Visa-Free Policy for 18 European & Asian Nations

Passport holders from Japan, South Korea, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Thailand, and Malaysia can stay up to 30 days visa-free for tourism, business, and transit.

The National Immigration Administration (NIA) of China officially announced the continuation and expansion of the unilateral visa-free entry policy through December 2026.

Key details:
1. Maximum stay: Up to 30 days per entry (increased from the former 15 days).
2. Permitted purposes: Tourism, business meetings, visiting relatives, and international transit.
3. Entry ports: Applicable at all open international airports, land borders, and cruise ports across mainland China.
4. Passport requirement: Valid ordinary passport with at least 6 months validity remaining.
